Frijoles Refritos

translated

Refried Beans

-WRONG-

Actually, Frijoles Refritos means "well-fried beans."

Our family eats pinto beans boiled and spiced rather than fried. Unless I have eaten them unaware, I don't think I've ever tasted mashed pintos that were fried--even once-- like the original frijoles refritos. How could you improve on that hearty, filling pot of pintos? Maybe by adding a home-made cast-iron seared tortilla? Yeah. Oh yeah.

Floridian food just doesn't quite compare.
Thank you for all your prayers during our trip. As you might have guessed, this post came from a lighter moment here. On the other end of the scale many days have proven trying. However, God has kept us all in the peace of His Spirit, and His joy is present with us. May it be with you as well.

Hey Sarah, We have been praying for you all while you are in Florida and are hoping all goes well in the next day. Our hole family (except the boys because i don't think they know) are eagerly anticipating seeing you all tomorrow at the airport! Love you much.
